We often associate red roses, diamond rings and expensive restaurants with romance, however for Rianne and Callum their most romantic moment involved a microwave curry and a couple of smoothies!

Meeting on a university trip, Rianne was instantly attracted to Callum, but thought he was ‘way out of her league’. Luckily, when they were sat next to each other on the university minibus, she plucked up the courage to talk to him…and the chat never stopped.

One year later, as their love grew, Callum invited Rianne for a special picnic in a central London park. All set for an outdoor feast, the couple stocked up on treats from Oxford Street.  Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. So, when the heavens opened Callum and Rianne decided to move their picnic inside to the house where they were lodging.

The romance wasn’t lost however, as Callum decorated the room with candles and played Lovely tonight by Joshua Radin. Callum then shocked Rianne by going down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Crying, Rianne accepted before the pair went to the pub for a celebratory drink.

Rianne and Callum then enjoyed a two-year engagement, before their big day on the 30th April. Taking place at St. John’s Church Southbourne, the wedding saw the entire church community come together, with an amazing evangelical service, featuring fun upbeat worship music and a special band flown in from Amsterdam.

Rianne stunned the wedding party in a beautiful A line ivory dress, with a lace top and tulle skirt as she walked down the aisle with her eight bridesmaids, best friends from school and sister. All of whom flew in from Holland especially, along with her family. And as if getting on a plane wasn’t enough, the bride’s family also sang a song during the ceremony before both the couple’s parents prayed over them.

The day for Joanna with the couple was then completed with shots of Rianne and Callum on the beach – including some particularly funny ones they decided to use as their thank you card, proving you don’t have to be serious to be romantic.

Thank you to my second shooter Lucy who took some of the photographs in my blog (ceremony from back of church and mingling shots whilst I was off with couple doing couple shots)
