A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER WEDDING IN PORTSMOUTH, GOSPORT, HAMPSHIRE – KATIE AND TY

When Katie and Ty first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a relaxed traditional wedding with a church ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Katie and Ty are the nicest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
GETTING READY
I started at Unit 10 Hair Design, where the bride was getting ready, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Katie wore a floor-length gown and Ty wore his British Army Officer uniform and they looked really perfect.
THE CEREMONY
The wedding took place at Portsmouth Cathedral, and was a romantic ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then exited the church through a ceremonial sword arch.
THE RECEPTION
The wedding reception took place The Victualler, Harbourside Bar & Restaurant, which was decorated so lovely. It was so beautiful.
It was a sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed drinks at the bar, I did some family photos. My favourite photo from our couples session is later in the evening at golden hour. Check it out below!
During the reception they had a lovely meal with friends and family, which everyone loved. For the wedding breakfast they had proper wedding grub, and it was so yummy. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and kept the party going all night. They also had a live band, which everyone loved.
