Bridal Preparations at Farbridge

I started the day at Farbridge Wedding Venue in West Dean, where Lucy and her bridal party were getting ready. The atmosphere was calm and joyful, with excitement building throughout the morning.

Lucy looked stunning in her elegant floor-length wedding dress, while Rob looked equally smart in a classic three-piece suit. Capturing those final moments before the ceremony is always one of my favourite parts of the day.

An Emotional Wedding Ceremony at Farbridge

The ceremony took place in one of Farbridge’s beautifully restored barns. As a West Sussex wedding photographer, I love photographing ceremonies here thanks to the abundance of natural light and the venue’s characterful interiors.

Lucy and Rob exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their closest family and friends. Several personal readings added to the emotion of the ceremony, creating plenty of happy tears among guests. After officially becoming husband and wife, they were greeted outside by a joyful confetti shower.

Relaxed Wedding Photography Around Farbridge

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the sunshine while I captured family group photographs and candid moments throughout the grounds.

One of the many reasons couples choose Farbridge for their wedding is the stunning backdrop provided by the surrounding South Downs countryside. The venue offers endless opportunities for natural, relaxed wedding photography.

Later in the evening, I took Lucy and Rob away for a few golden hour portraits. The warm summer light across the West Sussex countryside created some of my favourite images from the entire day.

Wedding Breakfast, Speeches and Evening Celebrations

The wedding breakfast brought everyone together inside Farbridge’s beautifully converted barn. The rustic interiors, exposed beams, and elegant styling created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The speeches were filled with laughter, heartfelt stories, and emotional moments. As the evening celebrations began, guests quickly filled the dance floor and partied late into the night.
