I’ve shot lots of weddings at South Downs Manor, however, in 2016 the woodland of the South Downs were flooded with seas of bluebells making it the perfect spot for Lauren and Craig’s engagement session on 07.05.2016. As well as delighting everyone with their wild beauty and sweet scent, in folklore, bluebells are known as the ‘fairy flowers’ or ‘fairy thimbles’, because fairies are believed to use the flowers to trap small children. And if you can successfully turn a bluebell flower inside out without it breaking, you might win your true love! The bluebells were so vibrant on the day of Lauren and Craig’s shoot we didn’t need any other props and managed to get a variety of beautiful images with bluebells providing an enchanting backdrop.
