A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER WEDDING IN SALISBURY, WILTSHIRE – ROS AND DAN
IF YOU’RE PLANNING A FAMILY MARQUEE WEDDING, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING FOR INSPIRATION!
When Ros and Dan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a relaxed traditional wedding with a church ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Ros and Dan are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
GETTING READY
I started at the bride’s parents house, where the bride was getting ready, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Ros wore a floor-length gown and Dan wore his Royal Air Force Officer uniform and they looked really perfect.
THE CEREMONY
The wedding took place at St Thomas Church, Salisbury, and was a romantic ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we did a confetti tunnel outside the church door.
THE RECEPTION
The wedding reception took place at the bride’s parents home in a marquee, which was decorated so lovely with fresh flowers from friends and family members gardens grown for the wedding. It was so beautiful.
It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, we took portrait photos. My favourite photo from our couples session is later in the evening at golden hour. Check it out below!
During the reception they had a lovely meal with friends and family, which everyone loved. For the wedding breakfast they had proper wedding grub, and it was so yummy. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the dancefloor was packed all evening. They also had a live band, which everyone loved.
Here are some other awesome summer weddings for inspiration! If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer, get in touch.

Any other information you would like to include?: The maid of honour is making the cake so that is something that is special and we would like to remember.
As the venue is a family home a huge amount of effort has gone into the garden by the mother of the bride so it would be nice to have some of this to be able to look back on in the photos.
All the marquee flowers are also being grown and done by family friend so it would be nice to have that kept in mind for photos.
